Community Culture
Celebrating Our Community & Heritage
Community culture at Lubbock Roots is where art, history, and everyday neighborliness meet. From the Caviel Museum’s exhibitions to the Caprock Jazz Festival’s stage, from First Friday Art Trail nights to the Booker T. Washington Community Garden, we create welcoming spaces where elders, students, families, and visiting artists build together.
Our “Take Pride in the East Side” photo showcase and the East Lubbock Gateway vision elevate local stories and public places, inviting neighbors to see themselves reflected in the city they call home. Whether you’re volunteering, sharing a recipe at a harvest day, or dancing in the aisles at a concert, you’re part of a living tradition that strengthens East Lubbock—one gathering, one project, one shared story at a time.
